REACTIONS TO DIETARY CHANGES

There can be abnormal reactions to artificial chemicals in foods (e.g., colourings and flavourings). There are also reactions due to the deficiency of an enzyme needed to digest a food. Lactase, for instance, in lactose (milk sugar) digestion; without it, a milk intolerance can build up. People can become hypersensitive to foods giving origin to delayed or hidden food allergies or sensitivities and sometimes have to change their diet.
Some changes may even be unnecessary, although you won’t know until you try. However, sometimes something wrong happens. Don’t worry if the first few day after a dietary change you experiment some unpleasant side effects.
