No! We play the most important role, we are the moderators of the bi-diretional relationship between food we eat and our mood. We can in fact affect the strength and/or the direction of this relationship.
Eating specific kind of food help us to distract themselves from, compensate for, or cope with negative affects (stress, anxiety, frustration…), but if we take into account of what we eat and when we will gain positive effects avoiding irritability, poor concentration, fatigue, depression and food cravings.
